Managing Text / CSV Database Data

Click on Append Row to add rows to your dataset and fill in your data.

You can also click and drag the column borders (between Email and Comment for example) to make the columns wider.

Adding, deleting, and inserting rows and columns is easy with the buttons in the edit window.

Field Types

Note the "Field types..." button. You can click on that to define the types for the fields in your dataset. To edit or change a field type after the window opens, double click on the name of the type (String, for example).

Changing a field type may be useful so that you can get special formatting appropriate for the data in your table. For instance, currency values need to be displayed with two decimal places. Dates also have their own display format as well.
