Global Filters - File Extensions

Analyzer puts every request into one of four classes, depending on the type of file that the visitor requests. A PAGE shows up by default in the hyperlink treeview and Analyzer counts PAGE requests as "hits" to your site. An IMAGE is generally any graphical element or other type of content that shows up on a page. The last class, MISCWEB, is for other files that may not be considered pages on your site but nevertheless include delivered content. A download package would fall in this class. The last class of FILE, which is not shown, includes everything else.

By default, all requests that do not match the list will be in the FILE class. In other words, if it's not a PAGE, IMAGE, or MISCWEB item, it's just a FILE.

You can define page types to meet your specific needs. If you do customize the list, Analyzer updates that include additional extensions or changes to the file extensions config file will not apply to you. However, you can revert to the default file extensions list at any time. For manually customizing the file extensions, see advanced config options.
